With C’est Parti !, students will have the opportunity to explore the lives of French speaking teenagers by following the main character, an American student, in his adventures while traveling throughout the French speaking world!
C’est parti ! is made up of ten chapters which both keep the same structure and follow an orderly progression.
The first two pages are used as a general introduction, with a photograph illustrating the topic (eating, hanging out with friends, shopping...) and a series of specific goals for this chapter (introducing oneself, ordering a meal...).
The second two pages provide the chapter with its base, a dialogue between French-speaking characters who reappear from one chapter to another one: Clara, Dave, Justine... One should find out almost all the new structures, words and expressions of the chapter in the dialogue page.
Then three double pages focus on activities which introduce the new content separately. Every page proposes a manifold of exercises and activities for the students in order to put the new content into practice.
"Remember" double page sums up the vocabulary and the idioms every student should know at the end of the chapter. Note that you will find a general lexicon as well at the end of the book.
Finally, the last double-page is divided into an « assessment » which allows the teacher to make sure the students are able to exploit what they learned in a small text, and a « skills review »: not only does that section recall the chapter's initial goals, but it also gives an oral project to the students and finishes up with a pronunciation box to improve oral understanding and speaking. Thus you will find both written and aural activities, comprehension and expression exercises in every chapter.
